Meet the team!
Abbigayle Lins
Visual Art Instructor
Born in Tucson, Arizona, Abbigayle spent her childhood traveling across the US and Europe because of her parents. Her father was in the Air Force and her mother is from Bath, England. This nomadic upbringing has managed to creep its way into her paintings through the concentration of Folklore narratives and the landscape in which these stories took place. Abbigayle currently resides in Bloomington, Indiana where she is a second-year MFA candidate at Indiana University. She lives here with her husband and their two pets: Bella (an angelic lab mix) and Neko (a cat adopted on Halloween—needless to say he has lived up to this).

Destin Hubble
Writing Instructor
For the inaugural IUPAI Art course, Drawing Your Story, each student will be creating a book for their final project to showcase their best drawings. The students will also be expected to write descriptive captions for each drawing in the book to assist the audience in understanding the story they are trying to tell and to give them even more opportunity for expression. As the writing instructor, Destin is teaching the basics of creative writing and captions. Coming from a tutoring and training background, he enjoys making patterned and easily digestible lessons that deliver the facts up front so the bulk of the time can be spent on exploring examples and putting the lesson into practice.
