This week’s Kinsey Institute Collections art story discusses the work of German artist, Otto Dix, whose work highlighted poor and marginalized communities in the Weimar Republic between WWI and WWII, and was censured by the Nazi regime in 1937. Dix was a native of Dresden, and continued to create artwork until his death in 1969. This post features an etching of a Dresden sex worker he produced in 1922.
